More about

Growing up in Ireland my love of nature was instilled from childhood. I was never far away from nature and luckily I had parents who embraced this and the natural world around us. As a child I was happiest being out in nature, identifying flowers in the wild and picking flowers from my mums garden to make flower bouquets for the house. From the glades of woodland walks, to stone hopping across flowing rivers or running in the sand dunes, being out in nature was where I felt complete. I remember so well being inspired in my mums garden by all around. This was where imaginative “play” took place as a child and the creativity within me was nurtured and developed.

A poem lovely as a tree

As a young adult I moved to London. I was fortunate enough to travel the world and experience some of it’s great natural phenomenon’s. From the river Nile with lush planes to the river amazon with dense jungle, from climbing glaciers to climbing sacred mountains, I touched foot on the worlds many continents. I embraced it all, the natural world, the ancient architecture, the sights, the sounds, the smells, all fed my senses and imagination.

She wore a flower in her hair

I started off my career in social work and after creating two gardens of my own and becoming the friend known for offering plant and design advice, I decided to embark on an odyssey spurred by my passions and took a post-graduate diploma course in garden design.

Planting perennials

Alongside study, I worked within the horticultural industry, building upon my repertoire. Once graduated I set up my own garden design practice and have never looked back.

Our gardens have so much potential to unleash and I truly love helping people do this, enabling them to enjoy quality down time within the realms of their own home.

What is this life if, full of care,
We have no time to stand and stare.”
