You choose, where you get and give love.#poetry #poetrycommunity #poetrylovers #flowersmakemehappy #flowerpainting#gardenlove Blown away. It was the simplicity of this planting scheme and its connection with the surrounding wild natural landscape that caught my mind @mountjulietestate in Thomastown, Co. Kilkenny. A mixture and repetition of grasses, aliums, verbenna and thistle all come together to form this naturalistic planting scheme. It has wonderful movement and softness, so easy on the eye. #naturallandscaping #mountjulietestate #thomastownkilkenny https://www.instagram.com/reel/CgejxM1KHdp/ Just add soil, water and sunshine 🌞 . When not planting or designing, I'm usually popagating or seed planting and jotting down thoughts and words as I reflect on life - as I work with nature it takes me on its journey showing how everything goes full circle, back to the earth, and the connectivity somehow feels enough. The pleasure we can derive from participating in the great circle of life is immense and I hope this little poem, written by me, will encourage those of you new to gardening to have a go and get little ones involved in the process Never stop growing 👌 #propagation #plantingseeds#poem #poemoftheday #poemsociety Now here's the true joy of a drought tolerant planter, still looking pretty in the blazing heat even when it doesn't get attention every day. These geraniums, sedums and aoeniums sitting happily together, water every other day in extreme conditions, otherwise they'll be happy with a once a week sprinkling. The sedums have just finished flowering , and had a lovely yellow flower, complimenting the red getanium. Sedums will stay green throughout the year. The geraniums will keep blooming well into the autumn, they'll go dormant in winter and the whole thing will repeat again next spring, giving year upon year of endless blooms in your box. Seasonal plants can be popped in at any time, for example a few cyclamens in winter or bacopia in summer, to add further interest. #droughttolerantplants #droughttolerantgarden #droughttolernatlandscape #windowboxgardener #windowboxdesign #windowboxflowers Whether it's window boxes or border plants, it's all about using the right colours, textures and shapes. Including lots of variety in your scheme is a recipe for success. #windowboxes#plantedborders #gardendesign #plantingdesign #plantingplans#kingstongardens Summer in a box. #windowboxgardener #windowboxes #windowboxflowers Engulfed by the beautiful scent of roses at the moment in the garden. What a reward for just sitting the plant in a sunny position, giving it a feed and a twice yearly pruning. An invitation to truly get amongst it.#summer#roses#scentedgarden Learn and share. Bio signs made for the neighbourhood planters. With a younger audience in mind after all it's just as important to bring them on board the journey of the importance of plants to our existence. #biodeds#savethebees #insectslovers#sharingiscaring❤️
